The 5 things that actually matter
- Story first. Detour only for accessories, Wisdom Stones, Daevanion Crystals, or a system unlock.
- Gear score 700, not 1,000 — that's the confirmed Global gate for Krao Cave Normal.
- Macro: Rage Burst → Overhead Slam → Rending Blow, held with Keen Strike while leveling; at 45 with both at 16, hold only the macro.
- Weapon to +5, no further until Enemy TerritoryZumion’s Ward (Lv35) hands you a free Avenger GreatswordDrifter Greatsword.
- Stigmas open at 22 (confirmed in game). Focused Block and Lunge Stance first; at 45 Rage Burst and Focused Block to 5, then Lunge Stance to 20.

Access, servers, and queues
When can I play?
Now: Global launched free to play on Oct 5, 2026. Founder's Pack early access ran Sept 30 to Oct 4.
Servers?
Server pairs, Elyos / Asmodian (NCSOFT notice, Sept 29): Europe Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel, Vaizel/Triniel, Kaisinel/Lumiel · NA West Siel/Israphel · NA East Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel · Latin America Siel/Israphel, Nezekan/Zikel · Asia Siel/Israphel. No region lock. NCSOFT may add servers; the in-game server list is always right.
Can I trade with other players?
Not directly. NCSOFT turned off player-to-player trades as an anti-bot measure; the Market is where players trade. No end date was given. When servers are full, “members in good standing” get a priority queue (NCSOFT notice, Sept 18, via AION2 Hub).
What are Spacetime Rifts?
From level 45: portals that open into the enemy faction’s land at set times. Fighting players is opt-in (you flag yourself for PvP), but enemy guards attack you either way. (Mein-MMO; Space4Games)
Character slots?
4 free at creation, expandable to 8 per server.
Do KR/TW characters transfer?
No — Global has its own accounts and economy entirely.
Yellow quest gone or main story stopped?
You have usually hit a level gate between regions. Check your quest Journal and Ascension gauge, then fill the gap nearby: the side story quests of the region you just finished, each Sealed Dungeon once, and any feathers for the town Monolith. Do just enough to reach the next story level, then go back to the yellow quests. (MMO Codex; Pan’s Chanter companion)
Character suddenly feels weak?
Weapon first, then check whether you skipped a system breakpoint or a first-clear dungeon.
Should I farm Fire Temple while leveling?
Not by default — clear what progression needs, take a lucky drop, keep moving.
Do I need the Founder's Pack?
Early access is over, so today it adds 30 days of Membership and cosmetics; the game is the same without it. Per Kodex's summary of NCSOFT's announcements.
Will my friends be on another server?
Dungeon party matching runs across every server in a region, so friends elsewhere are fine. The Abyss and the market do depend on your server.
How do the Abyss and factions work?
Elyos and Asmodian servers are separate and meet in the Abyss. After early access, servers are paired by how far along and how strong they are.
When does the cross-server market open?
Server markets exist from day one. The region-wide market opens later — not at early access and not at launch. A trust system and a 1M Kinah daily open-world cap were seen in the playtest.
Is the level cap 45 or 50?
NCSOFT has not confirmed it. Both numbers circulate; this companion follows the 1–45 launch route. The order of systems does not change either way.
Can I transfer servers later?
NCSOFT has promised a transfer service with no date. Pick your server as though it stays your server.
What is different on Global vs Korea/Taiwan?
Dungeon parties are five (not four), the first raid is ten, and there are stat-normalised 10v10 battlegrounds. Gear Score gates are lower, gear stat values are higher, pets cap at three, and a wing needs one fragment plus 10 Radiant Odyle. Sources: Kodex ↗.
Every countdown in one place
Daily and weekly resets, Spacetime Rifts, the Abyss bosses, field bosses you’ve seen dead, and refills like Odyle Energy. All in your own time zone. Tick Alert on a boss to get pinged before it spawns.
Live timers
Where these times come from
Spacetime Rift (level 45+): opens every 3 hours. On Global (NA East and West, Europe, Japan) and Taiwan it is the same moment everywhere: 02:00, 05:00 … 23:00 US Eastern. Korea is an hour earlier. The entry portal stays open about 10 minutes, and the rift lasts up to an hour. Confirmed (a rift opened at 14:00 Eastern, Oct 1). South America isn’t confirmed yet.
Shugo Festival: every hour on the hour, for 5 minutes. Dimensional Invasion: every hour at half past, for 15 minutes. Both are hourly, so the minute is the same in every time zone. Single source
Abyss bosses and field bosses: see the Boss timers card below.

1–45: the route spine
Follow the yellow main story by default. Stop only at the checkpoints below. Quest order from AION2 Hub's Asmodian route (updated Sept 19); rewards from the Global playtest client. Lost? Open the interactive world map ↗ (aion2.app): NPCs, quest givers, teleports, Odyle and gathering spots per zone.
Which route is for me?
Leveling Route (this tab)
For: your first time through, or anyone who wants every permanent reward on the way and to learn the zones.
Main story plus the detours worth taking: Hugo chain, sealed dungeons, the free class weapons, Wisdom Stones and titles. No time target.
Speedrun Route
For: players who know the game (Korea, Taiwan or the playtest) and want 45 fast, e.g. to start endgame on early-access day.
Failure Guild's Asmodian run: 45 in 3h 21m under launch-like rules. Still does the side quests and Sealed Dungeons worth doing, but asks for discipline: +5 gear, spending every point, grabbing Kisks.
Skip the famous 2-hour run either way: it is an Elyos run that skips the side content, and its runner says not to use it for normal play.
Seven things to know before you level
- Pick your side and server with your group first. There are no faction changes or server transfers at launch. NCSOFT has promised a transfer service later, with details to come in its own announcement. (Kodex; Mein-MMO; Space4Games)
- Assign your specialty effects. Reaching a specialty level is not enough: pick an effect for each open slot or you get no bonus. Slots open at skill level 8, 12 and 20. (Mein-MMO; MMO Codex)
- Belt and amulets are the exception to “don’t over-upgrade”. You keep them, so take them to their maximum, then Substance Morph them into the next rarity and start again.
- A failed enhancement costs materials but never destroys gear.
- Rune stones are different: about a 50% chance to fail, and a fail destroys the rune. Don’t enhance one unless you have a spare (seen in game, Oct 2).
- On Global, green gear stops at +5 and blue (Epic) at +10 (seen in game; Korea goes higher).
- Save some Odyle Energy for 45. It is one shared pool for every reward chest, about 120 a day (roughly three boss chests), and level-45 content is where it pays most. (Kodex, EU playtest; Space4Games)
- Keep green and blue upgrade fragments. They clutter your bags, but you need a lot of them later. (Mein-MMO; single source)
- Check two settings before questing: Combat Auto Use (the potion threshold) and Combat Looting (which rarities you pick up). (Space4Games, from the Global launch test; single source)
- Hold Selection Chests until you know what you want. Chests that let you pick your reward (a weapon, armour, accessory or materials) can’t be undone, and waiting costs nothing: open them once you know your build and which slot needs it most. (Pan’s Chanter companion; the game data lists 37 kinds of Selection Chest)
Each tip was checked against a second source where one exists; “single source” means we found only one. Live Global overrides everything. Sources are listed on the Sources tab.
Finding sealed dungeons on the map (M)
They show as ? markers on your map; the game calls them Sealed Dungeons (some guides say “hideouts”). Hover a marker to see its name, then match it to the level lists below.
A sealed dungeon’s level is the lowest level to do it, not when you get there: some sit in areas the story only reaches later (the Asmodian level-25 ones are in Dranactus, which the level-32 story quests take you to). Clear them when you get there.
Sealed Dungeons scale to your level, so going back for a missed one later is no easier. Clear each one as the story passes it. Confirmed
Do every sealed dungeon in each level band, not just two. Some later sealed dungeons stay locked until you clear an earlier one, and every first clear adds a title to your collection. Known chains (each sealed dungeon gives the next book volume): Lost Ruins (10) → Twisted Pit (Dranactus, 32) → Rift Fissure (30); Library of Foresight (15) → Library of Wisdom (30) → probably Library of Patience (30).Distorted Cave (20) → Fissure Cave (25) → Rift Cave (30); Marsh Library (15) → Forest Library (15) → Canyon Library (30). (book volumes: achievement text in the client data; the lock was seen in game, Sept 30)
| Marker | Means |
|---|---|
| ? | Not found yet. Walk close to it and it turns into the round marker. |
| Found, not cleared. A round marker made of rings. Go and clear it. | |
| Cleared. The same round marker with a check mark. First-clear rewards are done. |
Global client, seen in game, Sept 30. Confirmed
Sealed Dungeon puzzles
Memory tiles (Rift Fissure, Fissure Cave, Rift Cave and others): a grid of glowing floor tiles, two kinds mixed together. When it starts, the whole grid switches to one kind. You then have 15 seconds to step on every tile that was the other kind. Some sealed dungeons have two of these in a row.
Step-by-step walkthroughs for each sealed dungeon: Game8 (e.g. Rift Cave) ↗. Puzzle rule: Game8 plus a Rift Fissure run seen in game, Oct 1. Single source
If you fail, the pattern stays the same on the next try: same tiles every attempt (seen in game, 5 retries, Oct 1). The screenshot tip worked. Confirmed

Ascension. Unlocks Stigmas the same band.
Levels 23–45 · The Dark Campaign
Both clicks can reach 10, if you have the points: skill levels 8–10 cost 4 points each, and sealed dungeons and Monolith feathers are where extra points come from. The level-25 sealed dungeons come later: see level 32.
Hugo Mercenaries detours pay Wisdom Stones + titles.

Ascension, do immediately. It appears once you finish the story quest Last of the Destruction Archons (gaming.tools), so it can show up at 33.
The level-32 story quests take you into Dranactus, the land north of Purifying Forest (under fog on your map until then; teleport point Dranactus Shore). All five level-25 sealed dungeons are here: High Priest’s Ruins, Dark Root Cave, Drana Depository, Skurv Laborer Den, Twisted Pit. Clear 2 or more on the way.
Chain: Lost Ruins (level 10, Nameless Cemetery) → Twisted Pit → Rift Fissure (level 30, Battlescar Mound) must be done in that order (each gives the next volume of “Exploring the Ancient City of Ru”; the next one stays locked until you clear the one before). (chain: achievement text in the client data; lock seen in game, Sept 30) All three open a hidden dungeon: Ruins of the Ancient City of Roah (recommended level 45), the ? marker on the floating island in the Dranactus sky. Its entry screen lists Lost Ruins, Twisted Pit and Rift Fissure as requirements. Getting up there: teleport to the point on the coast south-west of the island (the winged teleport icon on the map below), fly up to the small floating rock just east of it (the island’s south-west rock), land and wait for your Flight Power to refill, then fly up again to the island.
Confirmed (seen in game, Oct 1) The monsters out here are level 32 and up, so don’t come at 25 even though the sealed dungeons say 25. Also go back for any level-30 sealed dungeons you skipped (Battlescar Mound and Basfelt Ruins, listed at the level-30 step above): it’s easy to miss them while you’re looking for Dranactus. (areas: gaming.tools; arrival at 32 and monster levels: seen in game, Sept 30)
Free Avenger Greatsword. Enhancing does not carry over: break the old weapon down and put its stones into this one. It caps at +10 (confirmed in game).
Don’t go looking for the level-35 sealed dungeons yet: most are in the Gribade Highlands and one at Idun’s Lake, which the story reaches at 36–37. Clear them when you get there.

Episode 6, “Encountering Zikel’s Core”. Rewards a Liberator Breastplate, 39,000 Kinah, 20 Life Serums and 53% of a level in experience. You can pick it up at 39. It runs through Fafnite Deposit (level-40 sealed dungeon: Spider Cave) and on to Amunta’s Hideout in Eastern Gribade Highland, which opens the east side: clear its level-35 sealed dungeons while you’re there. Next: Exiled Ritualist (level 40, same episode) gives Liberator Greaves, 39,000 Kinah, 5 Courage Scrolls and 42% of a level. Confirmed (seen in game, quest journal, Oct 1)

Farewells ends with a free Unique (gold) weapon: the Spiritforged Greatsword, item level 45, four manastone slots and a Theostone slot. It replaces the Liberator weapon; the Liberator is soul-bound, so break it down for stones (it can’t be transferred). Confirmed (seen in game, Oct 1) Unlocks 4 regional quests. Gear score check — target 700, confirmed via AION2 Hub (Sept 19), not the Korean 1,000. Full breakdown on the Day-One tab.

1–45 in about 3½ hours
A fast Asmodian route from Krix Domi and Excalul (Failure Guild). Their Asmodian run hit 45 in 3h 21m at 1,051 item level, under rules that copy Global launch: no Season 4 board nodes, 4 stigma slots, no quest-teleport button. It still does the side quests and Sealed Dungeons worth doing, so you don't have to come back for them after 45. Summarised in our own words; their route document ↗ has the maps with arrows.
Whenever you're waiting, do these in order
While loading, auto-pathing, handing in Feathers or waiting on a Sealed Dungeon reward.
Time-savers
While flying, hold Shift to boost and keep your momentum up with wing movement; you cover distance without draining flight stamina.
Finished a Sealed Dungeon or a green quest inside an instance? Don't walk out. Press M, pick AltgardVerteron (top right) and teleport straight to your next stop.
From Lv 26 the route grabs every Kisk (travel point) it passes, so later steps are one teleport away.
At 45 the open world scales up with you: a level-20 mob becomes level 45. Keep the +5 gear and board up to date as you go, or the last stretch slows right down.
The route, phase by phase
Split times are when the runners' 3h 21m Asmodian run reached each chapter. Tick a phase when you finish it.
Run split: 0:00 – 0:15.
Your first skills reach level 8 in this stretch.
Take every green (side) quest at Safe Haven and follow them. Push the main story through Silent Hill and clear the 4 Sealed Dungeons on the way. Return to Safe Haven, finish its quests, equip the new accessories at +5 and the Smite title. Recall to hand in anything left. Run split for 10–21: 0:15 – 1:15.
The stigma Ascension quest shows up partway through the zone. Run split: 1:15 – 1:44 (includes Krao Cave and the main city).
After these 3 you do no more Sealed Dungeons until 45. Run split: 1:44 – 2:27 (Urugugu + runes).
Once you have the wings from Urugugu: teleport to Nornir Assembly, take the Hugo Mercenaries part 2 side quest on its left side and finish it. Teleport to Abandoned Site and do the local side quest for Rune 1. Socket it and upgrade it to +1.
Only do green quests that sit right on the main story's path. After your 3rd Ascension (The One Who Dreams), take Hugo Mercenaries part 3 at Briskwind Shelter for Rune 2. Run splits: 2:27 Fire Temple (33–38), 3:01 the final stretch (39–45), done at 3:21.
Kisks to grab in the last stretch
Travel points the route picks up during specific main-story quests, so the next step is one teleport away.
| During quest | Take the Kisk at |
|---|---|
| Powder of Death (after the 5 Insectoids and 2 lost bags) | Amunta's Hideout |
| Lake of Confrontation (after searching the Blades Supply Storage, fly east into the fog) | Idun's Lake |
| An Ill Fate's Resolution (before diving into the lake) | Steel Hammer Temporary Trading Post |
| Daybreak Society Rescue Operation (after Nemon sends you to distract the Black Claw soldiers) | Kumrica's Cellar |

Elyos speedrun
There is no written Elyos speedrun route yet: the Failure Guild route document (linked at the bottom of this page) covers the Asmodian side. Krix Domi has posted two Elyos runs on video:
- Elyos 1–45 in 2h 46m ↗ (Sept 27, 2026).
- Elyos 1–45 in 2h 07m ↗ (Sept 28, 2026). Skips almost every side quest and Sealed Dungeon; the runner says not to use it for normal play, because you reach 45 too weak for level-45 content. Its chapters: tutorial, 10–21 (the tree), 22–25 (Krao Cave), 26–32 (Urugugu), 33–38 (Fire Temple).
The tips above work for both sides. For the Elyos zones and quests in order, use the normal Leveling Route (Elyos version) at speedrun pace: main story first, sealed dungeons only where the route stops.
After 45: finish the yellow quests
From the Failure Guild route document: once you hit 45, finish the remaining yellow quests. Their map for your side (a picture, Global playtest build):
The Elyos map has no labels: it is the route line the document shows under "Elyos Side".
A run for your class

The detours actually worth your time
Tick quests off as you finish them. Reward names follow the Global playtest data as cited by other guides; each quest page links to the database so you can check the live reward yourself. Elyos quests are matched to the Asmodian ones by level and reward (Wind Breeze = Chaser tier, Drifter = Avenger, Pilgrim = Liberator).

Gladiator at a glance
The whole class on one page: what to level first, which stigmas to plan, what goes in the macro and what stays on your fingers.
Durable melee bruiser with strong sustained pressure, HP recovery tools and flexible tank/DPS utility. Beginner-friendly: mistakes are forgiven by lifesteal and armor.

Passives: what to level them to
| Level to | Passives | Source |
|---|---|---|
| To 10 first | Experienced CounterstrikeAttack Preparation | Grobs; Arthars Gaming |
| To 10 next | Murderous BurstImpact Hit | Grobs; Arthars Gaming (Impact Hit for its Double Chance) |
| Later, when you have spare points | Blood AbsorptionIdentify WeaknessSurvival StanceSurvival Willpower | Blood Absorption is strong at its base level (Grobs; Arthars) |
| Leave at 1 (PvE) | Protection ArmorDestructive Impulse | Arthars Gaming: barely do anything |
Passives are raised with skill points, but they do have level waits: in-game, Attack Preparation (learned 13) and Impact Hit (learned 15) follow the same “+1 every 3 levels” rule as active skills (Attack Preparation 9 at 34, Impact Hit 8 at 33), while Murderous Burst and Experienced Counterstrike go straight to 10 (seen in game, Sept 30). The skill window’s “Reach Character Lv.” line shows the level each step needs. Levels above 10 come from gear and Arcana.

Tap tiles to build your plan (max four, Global’s count). Numbers identify the tiles. Use the four-slot order above; other stigmas are optional swaps. Global has four stigma slots, opening at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37, all four seen in the Global client. Korea has six.

What top players actually run
Real leaderboard data: top Gladiators' stigmas, actives, passives and Arcana sets, with an Abyss/Nightmare toggle and a comparison against this guide.
After 45: skill levels, rings, soul bind and Arcana
| Skill levels to aim for | Overhead Slam and Rending Blow to 16, then 20; Ruinous Blow to 16. Skills stop at 10 from points; boards add 4, each ring can add 1, and Arcana cards add the rest. |
| Rings | Use the ring skill lines to push Overhead Slam, Rending Blow and Ruinous Blow to 16. Don’t put skill lines on your weapon or guard: their stats are worth more. |
| Arcana set | 4 Primal Vigor (PvE attack). If you run out of MP, 3 Primal Vigor + 2 Magic Armor (MP when low). Never Illusion: Gladiator doesn’t use cooldown reduction. |
| Arcana cards | Parchment: Overhead Slam or Ruinous Blow. Compass: Rending Blow. Chalice (the “grail”; it can roll any skill or passive): whichever of Overhead Slam / Rending Blow is still short of 20. Mirror: Experienced Counterstrike, Murderous Burst, Impact Hit or Identify Weakness (all fine). Bell: Attack Preparation. |
| Passives on gear | Attack Preparation first, then Experienced Counterstrike or Murderous Burst, then Impact Hit. Reroll away Protection Armor and Destructive Impulse. |

Kanon’s endgame build (Global, Oct 9)
Kanon plays a Gladiator on NA East (item level 2,589; this week in NotMeter’s Global top 50 on the Ferocious Horn Den, Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis bosses, best #7 on Ferocious Horn Nuakum). His skills, stigmas and Arcana below are read from his character profile ↗ (the game’s public profile, read Oct 10); the advice is from his guide video ↗ and its description. Single source
| Skill | His level | Specialties he runs | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overhead Slam | 20 | 3 Adds [Upward Strike] Chain Skill · 4 Critical Hit on hit · 5 Remove cooldown | In the fight log he shows, Overhead Slam (28.3%) and its Upward Strike (28.2%) made 56% of his damage, every hit a crit. 16 is where the damage starts; at 20 every Overhead Slam crits, which matters because Global caps Critical Hit chance at 50%. |
| Rending Blow | 16 | 3 Changes to mobile skill · 5 Restores 50 MP on landing a Critical Hit | Your spam skill and another 20–25% of your damage; the MP option keeps you going. |
| Ruinous Blow | 16 | 4 Extra damage on hit · 5 Ignores Block and Evasion and lands as Multi-Hit | Take +30% Skill Critical Hit only while your crit is low: past the cap it adds nothing. At 20 he would add +20% Skill Speed. |
| Keen Strike | 16 | 4 −1s [Ruinous Blow] cooldown on hit · 5 Adds [Reckless Strike] Chain Skill | Not a must at 16; Overhead Slam and Rending Blow come first. |
| Leaping Slam | 12 | 1 Prepare for Battle effect on the caster for 3s · 4 +20% PvE Damage Tolerance | Your opener, so you reach the boss first. |
| Rush Strike | 12 | 2 +10m range · 4 −10s cooldown | A second gap closer. |
| Defiance | 12 | 2 Restores 1000 Stamina · 3 Restores 20% HP | Take the 20% heal first if it isn’t 12 yet. |
Stigmas: Lunge Stance 20, Rage Burst 10, Zikel’s Blessing 10, Focused Block 6. Lunge Stance at 20 gives a 50% chance on a crit to take 1 s off every cooldown, so get it to 20 alongside Overhead Slam. Don’t skip Focused Block (below).
Passives (his levels): Experienced Counterstrike 20, Murderous Burst 19, Blood Absorption 17, Identify Weakness 17, Survival Stance 17, Destructive Impulse 16, Survival Willpower 16, Attack Preparation 15, Impact Hit 15, Protection Armor 13. His order for damage: Experienced Counterstrike, Murderous Burst, Impact Hit, Attack Preparation, Identify Weakness.
Arcana: Chalice of Vigor and Parchment of Vigor (both +2 Overhead Slam), Compass of Magic, Bell of Magic and Mirror of Magic (Experienced Counterstrike +3, Identify Weakness +2). Arcana alone takes Overhead Slam to 16; for 20 he also has it on his weapon.
How he plays it
- Keep Experienced Counterstrike up. Its front-attack bonus is always on; the part you keep up is a PvE Damage Boost for 20 s after you block, which he says helps your party too. A normal block can start it, but if it hasn’t, use Focused Block on the boss’s next yellow attack instead of dodging. (His description corrects the video on which part needs the block.)
- Hit the boss from the front. Settings → Info display → Combat → Display boss orientation indicator: Front shows you where the front is. Most of his lost damage, he says, is lost uptime: chasing, dodging when he could block.
- Macro: his macro window has two steps, 10 ms delay each: 1 the Ruinous Blow key (Ruinous Blow with Rage Burst stacked under it), 2 Overhead Slam. Ruinous Blow gives Prepare for Battle for 20 s (+20% PvE Damage Boost, +100 Critical Hit); Rage Burst opens Overhead Slam for 10 s and gives +10% PvE Damage Boost. Hold the macro, and hold Keen Strike with it when your MP runs low. He tested Overhead Slam first against Ruinous Blow first: the same damage.
- Leaping Slam is the opener only. In the video he says to use it on cooldown to refresh Prepare for Battle; his description corrects that: Ruinous Blow already gives 20 s of it and refreshing made no difference to his damage.
- From the tooltips he shows: Experienced Counterstrike gives you and your party +12.2% PvE Damage Boost (and +6.1% PvP) for 20 s on a block, but that part doesn’t stack with a Templar’s Fury. Focused Block guarantees a parry, works twice in a row, and gives back 150 MP and stamina. Rage Burst’s Wounded (enemy −10% Attack) doesn’t stack with a Templar’s Taunt. Defiance isn’t shortened by cooldown reduction. On screen
- Don’t use Sword Aura Rampage (a damage loss) or Ankle Slice. Crushing Wave only to pull packs in Transcendence. Mocking Blade only as an emergency heal.
- Stats: Wisdom (Double Chance) and Illusion (Cooldown Reduction). The Pantheon art pieces with those two are worth buying.

Recommended way to use this
Levels 1–45: follow the Class Guide and Route. Top players' builds are endgame and won't help while leveling.
After 45: compare your loadout here, especially stigma investment (Lunge Stance and Focused Block at about 20 first) and the Pure Blood Arcana set.
Before spending shards: check your own tooltips. Numbers here are averages of other people's characters.
Read the caveats
- Sample from April 2026 (Abyss Apr 21, Nightmare Apr 12), before the July balance pass and the Aug 19 patch.
- Probably Korea/Taiwan servers, not Global.
- Every list had exactly six entries per type, so it likely shows equipped sets, not everything learned.
- Top Abyss players lean PvP; the Nightmare group is only 10 players.

Spend points where the Gladiator actually feels stronger
Skill unlock levels, point costs and specialty options are checked against the Global playtest client (1.0.21.0) and match. Daevanion route and stat priorities are still Korea-based.
Point order by character level
| Level | Priority |
|---|---|
| 1–18 | Keen Strike and Rending Blow as high as your level allows. Spare points: Experienced Counterstrike and Attack Preparation, the only two passives that matter while leveling (Grobs). Skip Protection Armor: it barely does anything (Arthars Gaming). |
| 19 | Keen Strike and Rending Blow to skill 8. Rending Blow: take “changes to mobile skill”, or every cast roots you in place. Keen Strike: +20% MP restored, because Rending Blow drains mana. (Grobs; Arthars Gaming) |
| 21 | Experienced Counterstrike straight to 10. Its damage buff was roughly halved on Aug 26 (Korea), so re-check its priority. |
| 19–25 | Leaping Slam to 8 (resets its cooldown on a kill: leap pack to pack) and Overhead Slam to 8 (adds the Upward Strike chain, which hits harder than the slam). Then Rush Strike to 8 (+10 m range) and Defiance to 8 (heals 20% HP). (Grobs) |
| 26–38 | Ruinous Blow up as it allows (10 at 38): its Prepare for Battle buff is +20% PvE damage. Overhead Slam to 12 for its critical option. Crushing Wave, Mocking Blade and Aerial Snare can wait: none of them is in the boss rotation. (Grobs; Arthars Gaming) |
| 39–45 | Experienced Counterstrike and Attack Preparation to 10, then Murderous Burst and Impact Hit (its Double Chance is the reason). Blood Absorption is strong at its base level; skip Destructive Impulse. (Grobs; Arthars Gaming) |
Specialty picks: what to take at each skill level

Patch watch: recent Gladiator changes
| Date | Change | Status |

| Sept 16 | Leaping Slam and Ruinous Blow can no longer be used while in a bound state (rooted-type). Ankle Slice with specialty #3 likewise, and a bug where its range bonus failed with all three specialties equipped is fixed. Patch note ↗ | In patch note |
| Aug 26 | Experienced Counterstrike (passive): its party damage buff is roughly halved (PvE 17/24/31% to 9/13/17% at levels 10/20/30). Keen Strike, Rupture, Wrathful and Reckless Strike gain +20% PvE damage. Overhead Slam life steal drops from 2% to 0.7%. Every skill now has a minimum cancel time. Patch note ↗ | In patch note |
| Aug 19 | Ruinous Blow stops being a charge skill and becomes a basic area-of-effect hit. Groggy damage 15 to 25; a +30% skill-critical specialty replaces the old movement one. Overhead Slam becomes a two-hit motion. Patch note ↗ | In patch note |
| Aug 12 | Ruinous Blow cooldown 30s to 45s and its buff lasts 20s instead of 5s. Lunge Stance loses its 20% mana-cost reduction. Blade Toss healing reduction rises from 30% to 50%. Patch note ↗ | In patch note |

The 20-second spending test
A +3 core-skill node crossing 8/12/16/20 beats a generic stat tile.
Attack / Combat Speed → Damage Boost → Critical Damage. Treat Triniel's nodes as optional until you have checked them in-client.
Azphel's PvP stats do nothing in PvE. Deprioritize tolerance and resist nodes when you aren't dying.
The steady chain goes in a macro. Everything conditional stays manual.
Aion 2 ships an official in-game macro system — this replaces third-party mouse software, which stays bannable.

- First stack Rage Burst, Overhead Slam and Rending Blow on one key, Rage Burst in the bottom slot (it fires first), then make that key the macro’s one step. Anything not ready is skipped. (Grobs)
- While leveling, hold Keen Strike and the macro key together.
- Before level 22: Rage Burst is a stigma, so it isn’t in your skill list yet. Start with Overhead Slam → Rending Blow and add Rage Burst to the line once you slot it.
- Bind to a spare key or side mouse button. A mouse button only works as the macro key in AION 2 control mode, not AION 1 mode (in-game tooltip).
- Use a spare preset. The skill window has numbered presets (1, 2, 3), each with its own skill bar and macros. Switch to an unused one before you build or test, so your working setup stays as it is. Each preset also has its own skill points: a preset you haven’t used can show unspent points and passives still at low levels, so spend them there too. Confirmed (seen in game, Oct 3)
- Watch for the shadow clone. When the macro cancels skills properly, your character leaves a shadow copy behind. No shadow? Raise the delay a little.
Elyos training scarecrows haven’t been found yet. Seen one? Use Report it below.- Once Overhead Slam and Rending Blow reach skill level 16, hold only the macro: Keen Strike becomes a damage loss, and Rending Blow’s 16 option (+50 MP on a critical hit) keeps your mana up.
- Rage Burst makes Overhead Slam usable for 10 s and Overhead Slam’s 16 option removes its cooldown, so the slam and its Upward Strike become most of your damage.
- Arthars Gaming instead stacks Rage Burst → Overhead Slam on one key and Ruinous Blow → Rending Blow on another, with one macro pressing both (his full bar is in the card below).
- Kanon (Global) keeps holding Keen Strike for MP: see his card on the Class Guide.
Press these yourself
Open pulls with Ruinous Blow: a 7.5 m rush that hits up to 4 enemies and grants Prepare for Battle for 20s (+20% PvE damage, +10% PvP damage, +100 Crit, +15% status chance). Client database, Sept 18.
Level-45 setup (endgame): another way to run it
Equip Lunge Stance, Rage Burst, Focused Block and Zikel’s Blessing. This is a separate variant from Grobs’ and Arthars’ setups above. Build the stack bottom up, with Sword Aura Rampage at the bottom, then Rage Burst, Ruinous Blow and Rending Blow above it.
Macro window: create one macro with Stack 1 (Sword Aura Rampage stack) as its only entry, at 10 ms. Select the stacked hotbar slot, not each skill separately. Hold the macro and Overhead Slam; also hold Keen Strike until Overhead Slam and Rending Blow both reach skill level 16.
Press by hand
- Lunge Stance and Zikel’s Blessing: before the damage chain, then refresh when appropriate
- Focused Block: just before a big boss hit, for the party buff

Arthars’ full skill bar (Global season 1)
Six buttons do the work: two buffs and four damage skills. He stacks several skills on one key in the skill window’s bar editor: the key fires the first one that’s ready, in the order listed below (in the editor the first one sits at the bottom, next to the key). His one in-game macro has two steps, Rage Burst then Ruinous Blow, 10 ms each: that presses the Rage Burst stack, then the Ruinous Blow stack. Hold it, and keep pressing those two stacks yourself as well.
The two stacks have to be on separate keys so the macro can weave them. Bordered boxes are in the macro. Assign your own bindings to the stacks. He uses target mode. Read from his skill window in The ULTIMATE AION 2 Gladiator Starter Guide ↗ (48:47–52:20, his macro window at 48:56). Single source
- Its Ruinous Blow stack fires Rending Blow (120 MP, no cooldown) whenever Ruinous Blow is cooling down; Rending Blow only restores 50 MP per critical hit from level 16.
- At level 14 Overhead Slam and Rending Blow, one player ran out of MP after about 20 s with this bar. On a training dummy it did the same damage (about 390k in 30 s) as the three-skill setup at the top of this tab (Grobs), which kept its mana.
- Best result: his bar while also holding Keen Strike (it restores MP and cuts Ruinous Blow’s cooldown), easing off the macro when MP runs low: about 500k in 30 s, against 390k for either bar alone.
Old starter macro OLD · kept for reference
What this guide showed before September 30. It still works, and it’s simpler, but it leaves damage on the table.
Overhead Slam, Leaping Slam, Defiance and Rush Strike were pressed by hand.
| OLD starter macro | NEW macro | |
|---|---|---|
| Overhead Slam | Pressed by hand, so it’s easy to miss | In the macro. With Rage Burst it becomes most of your damage |
| Keen Strike | Inside the macro | Keen Strike held separately while leveling, dropped at 45 (a damage loss once Overhead Slam and Rending Blow reach 16) |
| Mana | Keen Strike refills it | Keen Strike while leveling; Rending Blow’s level 16 option (+50 MP on a crit) at 45 |
| Good for | Brand-new players, the first few levels, a fallback if the new one feels awkward | Everyone once Rage Burst is slotted, and the endgame |
| Came from | MMO Codex’s summary of older Korean guides | Grobs and Arthars Gaming (two current Gladiator guides that agree) |
Why we moved on: Rage Burst lets you use Overhead Slam over and over for 10 seconds, and its level 16 option removes its cooldown. Pressing your biggest hit by hand means missing it. Try both on a training dummy and keep what feels right.

Protect the scarce stuff
Your leveling gear is a ladder, not a marriage proposal. Gladiators wield a greatsword only — any polearm advice online is from the original 2009 Aion, not this game.
What should I upgrade next?
This stays level-based on purpose — I couldn't independently verify the specific Combat Power thresholds some other guides use, so I'm not pretending to more precision than the sources actually support.
Reaching 1,000 Gear Score at 45
From Stoopz’s 1k gear score guide ↗ (Twitch, Global, Oct 1 2026). Item level on each piece adds up to your Gear Score. Single source
- Draupnir twice. First run: claim the reward twice (80 cube energy). Second run: claim once. That makes 120, which unlocks the guaranteed reward: take the boots.
- Gear quests in your journal (J). Scroll to the bottom (Regional) and do every quest whose reward is a gear upgrade, such as a bracelet. Replace your weakest pieces.
- Second Clash Rune from the Hugo Mercenaries chain (it keeps chaining: keep checking Regional in J for the next Hugo quest). Item level 40. Enhance it once only (+1).
- Amulet: enhance it to +10 with Amulet Enhance Scrolls (from Monolith Resonance). At +10, upgrade it to the next grade with Substance Morph, as its tooltip says.
- Spend every Daevanion point. Each point spent adds item level.
- Manastones (Enhancement → Manastone): each socketed line adds 1 item level on the lowest grade of stone, up to 4 on the highest. Socket your highest item level pieces first. Per item level, manastones are much cheaper than enhancing.
That should land you at about 1,000. If you’re just short, enhance one piece.
Pets & Genus Insight: free stats for every character
Two systems that look small but add a lot of stats. Both are shared by all your characters on the same server, so progress on one helps every alt.
- Every pet is a monster. Kill that monster in the open world and it can drop its soul; picking the soul up levels that pet. Pets cap at level 3 on Global (5 in Korea/Taiwan). Each pet at its cap gives a permanent owned effect (stats such as HP, Critical Hit or Might), so bring every pet to its cap. The full pet list is on the tab.
- Capped pets give crystals instead. Once a pet is at its cap, its souls turn into crystals for its genus board. Genus Insight has five boards, one per pet group: Cogni, Fera, Natura, Varian and Special, each with its own crystal.
- Level each board with Analyze. Every press costs Kinah and crystals, gives the board experience and rerolls all its stats. That’s normal. You can lock stats, but each extra lock costs much more, so don’t lock anything yet: get all five boards to level 10 first, then lock the good stats you roll.
- Rainbow Crystals work on any board. Special pets are skins, so you can’t farm their souls: spend your Rainbow Crystals on the Special board at first.
- More crystals: pick the Duty Missions (the game’s dailies) that reward crystals, and always take Hidden Cube keys, even if you can’t open the cubes yet: keys stack and the cubes give crystals.
- Use presets. Perfect rolls are very hard. Finish all five boards on one decent set first, then start a second preset and roll for better stats there.
Mastering each Insight also earns a title (“Cogni to the Bone” and so on; game data). Which stat sets to aim for on Global isn’t settled yet. From Grobs, “The Right Way to Progress Your Genus Insight” ↗ (Sept 25, 2026). Single source

| 42 | The Breaking of the Day — awards a free Liberator Greatsword to Gladiators (quest page, Global playtest data). Talk to Kumrica in Altgard; recommended level 42. It is Epic grade and caps at +10, then fill its three manastone slots Confirmed (seen in game).A Balaur’s Trash is a Daeva’s Treasure — awards a free Pilgrim Greatsword to Gladiators (quest page, Global playtest data). Talk to Caelid in Verteron; recommended level 42. |
| 45+ | Only now treat expensive enhancement/refinement as a long-term decision. |
Stat priority (PvE)
Damage BoostWeapon Damage BoostAccuracyCritical HitCombat SpeedCritical Damage
Combat Speed matters more on Gladiator than most classes — the rotation feels sluggish until you stack it. Main stats: Might and Precision first, then Intelligence, Constitution, Willpower, Dexterity.
Enhancement & consumables
- Extract, don't sell. Refunds Enhancement Stones; merchants pay pennies.
- Altgard sealed dungeons from 10 are your steadiest upgrade source: 15,000 Kinah + 1,250 Enhance Stones + 2 Daevanion Crystals per first clear.
- Fire Temple at 35 can drop a class weapon — good manastone/Soul Bind practice either way.
- Soul Bind priority: Combat Speed, Weapon Damage Boost, Damage Boost, Might, Precision, Multi-Hit.
- Consumables: combat/movement-speed scrolls on every story boss (5 min), HP potions auto-use ~60%.
Moving your gear up without wasting it
- Stop at +10 on most gear. Up to +10 enhancing always works; after that the success chance drops and the cost climbs fast. A failed try never destroys gear (rune stones are different: about 50% to fail, and a fail destroys the rune; seen in game, Oct 2), and each fail fills a bar that helps the next try, but it burns stones you’ll need. Go past +10 only on gear you’ll keep a long time. (Spid, from the Korea/Taiwan client.) On Global, green gear stops at +5 and Epic at +10 Confirmed (seen in game).
- Soul-bound gear can’t be transferred. Enhancement → Transfer can’t move anything from gear whose Soul Binding is fixed or complete (for example a free quest weapon at 100% Soul Binding). Break that gear down for stones instead. Confirmed (seen in game, Oct 1)
- Weapon and accessories first, armor later. Weapon and accessories give damage; armor gives defense and HP. Upgrade armor when you have good gold pieces or need item level for a dungeon. (Spid)
- Keep gold items you can’t use. Other classes’ gold gear makes a Soul Binding stat change 100% successful, so don’t dismantle it. (Spid)
- The three Soul Binding buttons (the small icons beside the item in Enhancement → Soul Binding): Bind (top) raises the numbers on the item’s lines toward their maximum; a line already at 100% can’t go higher, and Bind never changes which lines you have. Sync (middle) changes one line you pick (the circle beside it) and uses up a material item; the success chance depends on the material’s grade and item level, and a gold (Unique) item showed 100%. Rebind (bottom) changes the item’s binding effects for 300,000 (the Bind button costs 30,000 of the same currency) plus a book, with no line to pick. Confirmed (seen in game, Oct 3, on a ring) Sync rolls a random new line, not one of the material’s own lines, and a skill line can come back as a plain stat (two tries on one ring: Sword Aura Rampage became Ankle Slice, then Ankle Slice became Evasion 21/30; the materials carried Survival Stance, Blood Absorption and Experienced Counterstrike). The Soul Binding Rate is the average of the lines’ bars (skill lines count as 100%), so a skill line rolling into a stat lowers it (63.4% → 43.0%); Bind can fill the new bar again. Single source (seen in game, two tries) So aiming a line at the skill you want is a re-roll, one gold item per try, and you can lose a skill line doing it.
- Amulet and belt level differently. The amulet levels with feathers at the Monolith; the Noble belt levels with Noble enhance scrolls from strongholds (the square map markers). Take them to their maximum, then Substance Morph them into the next colour. Unequip them first or the morph won’t work. (Spid)
- Crafted gear keeps its enhancement when you craft it up into its next version, so enhancing a crafted piece isn’t wasted. (Spid)
- Don’t open dungeon chests while leveling. Clear the run for the quest and skip the chest: each chest costs Odyle Energy, and the main story hands you a gold weapon anyway. Save the energy for Vakron Sky Island at 45 . (Spid; Kodex)
Stat lines and manastones: what to roll for
For every class. From Kanon’s Aion 2 Bible ↗ (updated for Global Oct 4) and his guide video ↗. Single source
Which stats are worth most
- Damage stats, best first: Double Chance > Front/Back Attack Damage Boost > Weapon Damage Boost ≈ Critical Damage Boost > Damage Boost. Double Chance doubles a hit; Front/Back and Weapon Damage Boost each multiply on their own, while plain Damage Boost is added to your other Damage Boosts, so each point does less. Korea endgame math
- Flat attack, best first: Attack > Max Attack > Attack Bonus > PvE Attack and Boss Attack.
- Combat Speed: stack as much as you can. It’s also the stat ping hurts most: in his tests 150–200 ms of ping made a big difference to damage (he writes “roughly 50–70%”), similar on every class tested.
- Critical Hit is capped at 50% on Global (Kanon; about 800 Critical Hit reaches it against the training dummy). Once you are there, more Critical Hit and Precision do nothing; specialties like “+30% Skill Critical Hit” only help below the cap. Unverified
Stat lines on each piece (Global)
Rarest first, because those are the hard ones to roll; keep a rare good line when you see it. Reroll one line with a Sync stone of the same grade (a lower-grade stone has only a 10% chance on higher-grade gear), or all lines with a Soul Codex: Reset book.
| Piece | Lines to aim for |
|---|---|
| Weapon & guard | Damage Boost, Combat Speed, Weapon Damage Boost, Might, Multi-Hit Chance, Precision (maybe not needed with the crit cap), Attack |
| Helmet | Double Chance, Attack Increase, Attack, then passive skills |
| Cloak | Double Chance, Attack Increase, Perfect Chance, Attack, then passive skills |
| Shoulders | Double Chance, Critical Damage Boost, Attack, then passive skills |
| Chest | Perfect Chance, Damage Boost, Attack, then passive skills |
| Pants | Attack Increase, Perfect Chance, Damage Tolerance, Attack, then passive skills |
| Gloves | Perfect Chance, Combat Speed, Attack, then passive skills |
| Shoes | Perfect Chance, Movement Speed, Attack, then passive skills |
| Necklace | Combat Speed, Might, Attack, then passive skills (Accuracy if you need it) |
| Earrings | Move Speed, Might, Precision, Attack, then passive skills (Accuracy if you need it) |
| Rings | Might, Precision, Attack, then active skills: rings are the only accessory with active skill lines |
| Bracelet | Pantheon stats: Illusion, Wisdom, Destruction, Time, Justice, Space (below) |
Manastones and soulstones
- Best first: Front/Back Attack Damage Boost > Weapon Damage Boost ≈ Critical Damage Boost > Damage Boost > Attack. Try for at least one gold Damage Boost line: gold (100) is a big jump from blue (30), and 100 equals 1%.
- Two gold Attack lines are worth about one gold Damage Boost line; a single gold Attack line is a fine stopgap.
- Don’t spend expensive stones on gear you’ll replace soon.
When you transfer gear into a new piece
- Moves over: enhancement and the stat lines.
- Lost: manastones and soulstones, the Theostone, Potential lines, and the extra line a Philosopher’s Stone added. So don’t chase a rare line in the Philosopher’s Stone slot.
- Transfer Stones come from Substance Morphing Transfer Stone Fragments, which mostly come from breaking down Heroic (orange) gear. Save Heroic fragments: you need a lot of them later.
Pantheon stats and Artworks
Each Pantheon stat gives two effects. You get them from your bracelet, your Arcana cards and the Pantheon itself, where you place statues, portraits and Artworks.
| Pantheon stat | Gives |
|---|---|
| Wisdom [Lumiel] | Less MP used, more Double Chance |
| Illusion [Kaisinel] | Cooldown reduction, Endurance Penetration |
| Time [Siel] | Combat Speed, Double Chance Resist |
| Destruction [Zikel] | Attack Increase, Perfect Resist |
| Death [Triniel] | Critical Hit, Regeneration Penetration |
| Destiny [Marchutan] | MP, Endurance Chance |
| Space [Israphel] | Move Speed, Block Chance |
| Justice [Nezekan] | Defense, Perfect activation chance |
| Freedom [Vaizel] | Accuracy, Evasion |
| Life [Yustiel] | HP, Regeneration activation chance |
- Wisdom and Illusion are the ones to chase (Kanon: Double Chance and cooldown reduction are important for every class). In his stat window, 27 Illusion gave −2.7% cooldowns; the game caps cooldown reduction at 60%. On screen
- Artworks: Pantheon decor named after the dungeons (Artwork: Krao, Draupnir, Urugugu, Vakron Sky Island, Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den), most likely dropped there. They sell on the Market under Pantheon; place one in your Pantheon for its stats. Artwork: Draupnir gives Illusion 4, Life 4 and Wisdom 4. Read each one’s tooltip and buy the ones with Wisdom or Illusion. On screen
- Most Pantheon stats come from Arcana cards: see the next card.
From Kanon’s Aion 2 Bible ↗ and his guide video ↗ (his stat window and the Market, Oct 9). Arthars Gaming advises Gladiators against Illusion; see Kanon’s card on the Gladiator Class Guide.
Arcana: cards, levels and crafting
Arcana cards give a Pantheon stat plus up to 4 skill or stat lines. Along with ring lines, Arcana is how your key skills reach 16 and 20. Global has five cards so far (Chalice, Parchment, Compass, Bell, Mirror) and two sets (Primal Vigor, Magic Armor).
| Card | Can roll |
|---|---|
| Chalice | A Pantheon stat and any active or passive skill |
| Parchment / Compass | A Pantheon stat and one half / the other half of your active skills |
| Bell / Mirror | A Pantheon stat and one half / the other half of your passives |
- Leveling a card: feed it Arcana cards or Training Arcana from Transcendence. Each level adds +1 to one of its skill lines at random, up to level 5. Feeding the same card type gives bonus experience; moving levels to a better card loses some.
- Craft your own under Transmute: you choose the lines, paid with crystals from Transcendence. Kanon calls it 100% worth it. The Chalice has the most possible lines, so it’s the hardest to drop with good ones: craft it first.
- Early set (Kanon, every class): 2 Primal Vigor (+60 PvE Attack above 70% HP) on the Chalice (Time) and Parchment (Life); 3 Magic Armor (1,500 MP back below 20% MP) on the Compass (Death), Bell (Destruction) and Mirror (Wisdom). The three lines that matter most: Chalice Time (Combat Speed), Bell Destruction (Attack Increase) and Mirror Wisdom (Double Chance).
- First get two key skills to 20 with cheaper cards, then craft your perfect 4-line cards from there.

Before you pull a boss
- Show the boss’s front: Settings → Info Display → Combat → Display Boss Orientation Indicator: Front. Front (and back) Attack Damage Boost only counts when you hit that side, and it multiplies on its own, so it’s worth a lot: stand where your class gets it. On screen
- Equip Power Shards. A regular one is about 4.65% more damage, a Superior one about 8.9% Korea math.
- Uptime is damage. Learn which attacks to stand through, roll away from, or block: every second spent chasing the boss is lost damage.
- Ping matters more than people think: in Kanon’s tests 150–200 ms of ping made a big difference to damage (he writes “roughly 50–70%”), much the same on every class tested.

How Transcendence works (a Korea/Taiwan walkthrough by PvE Zone, Single source):
- Timed runs with rising levels, like Mythic+ in World of Warcraft: each level raises the monsters’ stats and adds affixes and new mechanics. Clear fast enough for an S rank to move up a level.
- The final boss opens once your group has enough points from minibosses and monsters (a miniboss always gives 45).
- Their 4-player route: three fight while the fourth (the weakest damage dealer, or the support) is the runner, skipping fights to unlock every teleport, then joining the group. Global allows up to five, so treat this as a reference, not a fixed party.
Deus Research Base
GS 1,200 · 4 stages · party 2–5 · 3 bosses
Unlocks at 45. An August update reportedly added a much harder variant; the database lists no such gate.
How to run it (Tier 1)
The route
- First pull: the three fighters pull the whole room while the runner heads for the teleports. Group the monsters at the narrow spot further on. Dead monsters leave a poison pool that hits very hard, worst for melee.
- Go down a floor, clear it, teleport to the first point and clear that room. Keep away from the eyes placed all through the dungeon: getting close chains you to nearby players, slowing and hurting you. Wait it out, or walk away from each other to break the chain.
- Next room: kill only what you need, avoid the eyes, then go up the stairs to the first miniboss.
Gelcos (miniboss)
- Marks the farthest player with an eye, chases them and drops lightning pools that last a long time. The marked player drags the pools to the edge of the arena so the middle stays clear.
- When the chase ends he goes to the middle and swings his chains in big area attacks: block or dodge them. This repeats until he dies.
Nazmun (miniboss)
- Makes spinning lasers with one safe gap: pull him into the gap and fight him there.
- Dodge the mines (they stun). With a blue circle on you, don’t touch other players. If the lasers change shape, jump over them.
- Still short of points? Get them in the next room, then teleport to the final boss.
Atiel (final boss)
- Dodge everything: the run’s explosion affix plus very heavy hits, above all the grab he always opens with.
- Fight in melee range: at range, cross-shaped areas keep chasing you.
- Chains: he chains the tank to the party. The party stays in the middle; the tank runs to the edge to break the chains (they hurt). Meanwhile one player gets a shared-damage circle: everyone else stands in it.
- At 66% and 33%: he jumps to the middle and sends wind areas that push you off the platform (and stun). Keep moving toward him and jump them, or cover the party with shields. Afterwards the platform’s outer ring breaks away, so there’s less room each time.
- After 66%: he chains everyone to himself. The farther away you stand, the more it hurts, and it only ends with the mechanic. Clones of him charge at random and can knock you off the platform.
- At 20%: back to the middle for a stagger phase while you dodge charges and wind areas. Break his stagger bar or the group wipes. Each class’s first stigma skill does a lot of stagger damage.

- Same plan: the runner takes the teleports, the rest push forward.
- Pull 1: bring them to the narrow stairs. Pull 2: hide behind the corner so they bunch up in the narrow spot. Pull 3: up to the top of the stairs to group them. Pull 4: back to the stairs. Don’t pull more than planned: these monsters attack from range and hit hard.
- Naga leave a poison pool when they die (affix) that hurts you and heals the other monsters. Avoid pulling them; otherwise kill them last.
Siliator of Deceit (miniboss)
- When he goes to the middle, get away: he throws chakrams (bladed rings) outward that then fly back to him. Players in melee take several hits and die.
- Two players get red markers and a chakram chases each one. Make the two chakrams hit each other to break them: the usual way is to cross the two red lines and run toward your partner’s chakram, jumping over it.
Ruthilis of Pain (miniboss)
- As you walk in, move a little to the right. He fills the arena with electric slices, starting at the entrance and going clockwise, so just right of the entrance is the last slice to go off.
- If he leaps at someone, get close to him to avoid the red area. Avoid the long rectangles where blades come up (they knock you down).
- Small circles on the floor: if one hits you (a blue ring appears around you), a few seconds later you send out a wave the others must jump.
- Short of points? The room before this miniboss has enough.
Talisra of the Void (final boss)
- Before the pull, assign four spots: two players for white balls (north and south) and two for black balls (west and east). Use the minimap to know your side.
- At 66% and 33% she goes to the middle and white and black balls roll in from the edge. A ball that reaches her makes her stronger. Each player catches only their own colour on their own side: holding white and touching black (or the other way round) stuns you. Several balls of your colour stack a speed boost.
- Then a damage circle appears under each player: move to a safe spot without touching anyone else’s circle. Each circle leaves a shield of your ball colour when it explodes. Done right: two white shields, two black ones, and no boost on her. Circles of different colours touching break the shields and can wipe the group.
- She then raises her hand and it flashes white or black in a random order. Stand in the matching shields in that order: for example black, take the hit, then white, take the hit.
- The 33% round is harder: red waves also come while you collect balls (jump them, they stun) and her sequence is three colours instead of two.
- If the whole arena turns orange, a blue wave comes out from her: jump it. Right after, a red wave comes back toward her: jump that too.
- If she summons four spears, one is white: break it fast with multi-hit skills before it explodes. If she traps a player in a crystal, aim the spears at the crystal to break it. One spear hit is survivable, several are not.
- Fire pillars: heavy damage and they move in different patterns. Sometimes you leave melee range, sometimes you hug her to avoid them.
From PvE Zone’s Transcendence guide ↗ (YouTube, in Spanish, 12 Apr 2026: the Korea/Taiwan client, Tier 1 at its top level), translated and summarised by us. Global may differ. Single source
Abyssal Forge: Ludra
GS 2,800 · 10 players · 1 boss
Not in the game at Global launch. NCSOFT pulled Ludra from the launch build (Oct 5) to rework it: new and changed mechanics and attack patterns, a new First Clear event and a reset Hall of Fame. The return date will be announced by October 16. Early Access players’ Ludra gear is removed too and given back (with upgrade materials refunded) when it returns. Official notice ↗ Confirmed
Historical KR/TW entry value. Global’s return gate has not been announced; this is not a confirmed upper bound.
Awakening trials
Nightmare Altar · Tyrant's Hideout · Sanctum of Loathing · Depository of Fates · Forgotten Repository · Chamber of the Dead
Very likely the same system as the Ascension Trial on your Day-One tab (Normal at 1,500 matches). Insane / Hell / Doom tiers (3,000–4,000) are level 99, not launch content.
After 45: what to do, in order
Order and items follow Kodex's progression checklist. Its Gear Score bands are Taiwan-scale, so on Global the tier gates above arrive sooner. Ticks save in your browser.

Stigma swaps for the Abyss
| Swap out | Swap in | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Focused Block | Blade Toss | Healing-reduction debuff — the one near-universal PvP must-have. |
| (situational) | Tenaciousness | A few seconds of CC immunity when you expect to be focused. |
What changes
- Lead with Ruinous Blow — the Crit buff matters more vs. a player who can dodge/block.
- Save Leaping Slam's gap-close for chasing, not pack-clearing.
- Time Defiance's heal around the opponent's burst window.
- Only invest in the Azphel board if you actually plan to PvP regularly.
What actually resets, and how not to waste it
Daily reset on North American servers: 03:00 US Eastern (07:00 UTC) Confirmed in game, Oct 1. The game shows it in your own time in the Attendance window. Weekly reset: Wednesday, same hour Confirmed (in-game timer, Oct 1). It’s fixed at 07:00 UTC on every region (9 AM in Central Europe), so when clocks change it moves to 2 AM Eastern from Nov 1 (Europe: 8 AM from Oct 25); the timers below follow it automatically. Server-wide vs. per-character scope matters: using a shared entry on the wrong content is the classic waste.
Auto-reset: daily checks clear at every day, weekly checks at the same hour on . Type it the way the game or your server announces it and pick that time zone; the guide works out your own time. Starts at the North American daily reset (03:00 US Eastern) in your time. Playing in Europe? Set yours by hand.
Remind me before a reset: Reminders only fire while the guide is open (in a tab or the installed app).
Countdowns (resets, rifts, Abyss and field bosses, Odyle and other refills) live in Timers.
Daily
Weekly
Before the weekly reset: what you can’t get back
These are weekly or capped, so whatever you don’t use is gone. It matters most in week one: if you start on October 5, the first weekly reset is Wednesday October 7, so you have about two days. Ticks clear at the weekly reset. From players with Korea/Taiwan experience; check scope on Global.
Also: for Transcendence, LittleFattyGG waits for about 1,800 item level, where reward pool 2 (blue Arcana) opens; around 1,500 you only see the green pool. Don’t spend Season Shop coins before people know what’s worth it (Spid). Skip the early Kanis PvP gear and don’t enhance the Fierce Battle amulet; spend Abyss Points on Daevanion Crystals and stigma shards (LittleFattyGG).
Command scrolls, step by step
Command scrolls are weekly quests you buy. Each one is a quest with up to five rewards, mostly Abyss Points. They reset every Wednesday with the weekly reset, and the limits are per server: your alts share your main’s.
- Go to the town Command Merchant. Safe Haven in Altgard: on the map, the round icon with a swirl and coins, just right of the “Safe Haven” label Confirmed. Tip: open the map and search “Command”.
Your home region is Verteron: open the map and search “Command” (exact spot not confirmed yet; please Report it). - Buy all 12 scrolls (15,000 Kinah each, 180,000 for the week). Unbought ones don’t carry over.
- Open Journal (J) → Duty → Command. Your scrolls are listed there as quests (up to 20 held at once). Each shows its goal and its rewards.
- Check the rewards, and reroll if they’re poor. Each command shows up to five random rewards: the first always pays; the others pay 50%, 33%, 25% and 10% of the time. A redraw rerolls them, up to 10 times per command, and each one costs more (1,000 Kinah up to 300,000). Worth a redraw: a Hidden Cube key (any slot can roll one, 2% each), Nightmare or Ascension Trial tickets, Odyle Energy. Stop well before the expensive redraws: creators stop at about 85,000.
- Accept it and use the pin beside Accept to mark where to go, then do the objective and hand it in from the Journal.
- Repeat for all 12. Even a poor roll still pays its first reward.
- Abyss scrolls (item level 1,000+): the Abyss Command Merchant in Chaotic Lower Reshanta (central island; map ↗) sells up to 20 a week, 5 of each grade. They’re done in the Abyss. Pricier grades pay more rewards on average (about 3 at 150,000 Kinah against 2.2 at 15,000), so buy the cheap ones first and the dear ones only with spare Kinah.

Short on time?
Built from what you haven't ticked yet, in priority order. It is an order, not a stopwatch: the guide has no verified run times.
Rules of thumb
Both vendors. They stockpile after purchase; unbought weeks don't.
Nightmare and Shugo keys become urgent only once you're near the ceiling.
Dungeon/Conquest progress beats random map cleanup for actual power.
Odyle Energy
One shared pool for all dungeon reward boxes. In the September EU playtest it refilled 15 every three hours (about 120 a day, roughly three boss cubes) with or without a subscription. Taiwan refilled every 48 minutes.
Playtest observation from a stream, subject to change before launch. Source: Kodex ↗.
Kinah income, the Broker, and what real money buys
Split into what earns Kinah in-game and what NC's own storefront actually sells — third-party gold/Quna sites are excluded from both.
Kina farming with your main and alts
The short version: tradeable Kina comes from the reward cube at the end of Conquest and Transcendence dungeons. Every claim costs 40 Odyle Energy, so your Odyle sets your week’s Kina. Spend all of it, buy every extra 40 you’re allowed, run the best dungeon your gear score opens, and a main plus two alts comes to about 25 million Kina a week for a free player.
Labels: Confirmed seen in game by us · Client data the game’s own files via the aion2.app database · Unverified reported by players, not checked yet. Global, checked 10 Oct 2026.
What one cube pays (40 Odyle Energy)
| Dungeon | Mode | Gear score | Kina a claim | Silentium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Krao Cave · Draupnir | Conquest 1★ | 700 | 200,000 | 7 |
| Urugugu Canyon · Vakron Sky Island | Conquest 2★ | 1,400 | 300,000 | 7 |
| Fire Temple · Ferocious Horn Den | Conquest 3★ | 2,100 | 400,000 | 7 |
| Deus Research Base · Shattered Arkanis | Transcendence 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 | 1,600 / 1,900 / 2,200 / 2,500 Unverified | 300,000 / 360,000 / 420,000 / 480,000 | 10 |
Each boss you kill adds a third of the cube’s Kina, so kill all three. The same dungeons on Exploration pay only Kina (Bound) and 4 Silentium. Run the highest tier your gear score opens: at 1,400 that’s Conquest 2★, half again what 1★ pays. Silentium sells to any shop for 5,000 Kina (Bound) each. Client data
Odyle Energy: how much you get
| What | How much | |
|---|---|---|
| Odyle Energy refill | 15 every 3 hours: 840 a week, enough for 21 claims | Playtest note |
| Odyle Energy cap | 840 with membership; free players reportedly 560 (log in every 4 days so it doesn’t overflow) | 840 confirmed |
| Substance Morph (Alt+H) | Up to 16 a week for the whole server, plus 4 per character: a main and two alts get 28 | Confirmed |
| Morph cost, per 40 | 50,000 Kina (bound Kina works), 25 Odyle, 5 Fine Odyle, 1 Pure Odyle (Conquest drops the materials) | Unverified |
| Wind Breeze Merchants | Members only: 40 for 100,000 Kina, same 16 + 4 limit | Unverified |
| Small Odyle Energy | Restores 10; Hidden Cubes sometimes drop it | Unverified |
Even buying at 100,000, a 40 that becomes a 300,000 claim pays back three times over, so buy every one you’re allowed. Spend the server’s shared 16 on your highest gear score character.
What a roster makes a week
| Characters | Free: Kina | Free: + bound | Member: Kina | Member: + bound |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main only | 11,300,000 | 1,435,000 | 15,300,000 | 2,135,000 |
| Main + 1 alt | 18,600,000 | 2,310,000 | 23,400,000 | 3,150,000 |
| Main + 2 alts | 25,480,000 | 3,185,000 | 31,500,000 | 4,165,000 |
| Main + 3 alts | 30,620,000 | 4,060,000 | 39,600,000 | 5,180,000 |
How it’s worked out: everyone in Conquest 2★ (300,000 a claim); 21 claims a week each from the refill, plus every morph (and, for members, every Wind Breeze buy), with their cost taken off; minus the weekly cut below. “Bound” is each claim’s 7 Silentium sold at 5,000. Members claim each cube twice for one run, so they reach the cut half as fast. Monster drops, Daily Duties and Market sales are extra. Uses the unverified morph cost and weekly cut, so treat it as a close estimate.
The weekly Kina cut
| Cube Kina | Conquest runs this week | Transcendence runs |
|---|---|---|
| 100% | first 84 | first 56 |
| 80% | 85th–105th | 57th–70th |
| 60% | 106th–126th | 71st–84th |
| 40% | 127th–147th | 85th–98th |
| 20% | 148th on | 99th on |
Counted across every character on your server together, Conquest and Transcendence separately, resetting Wednesday at the weekly reset. Only the Kina shrinks; the rest of the cube stays the same. This is why a third or fourth alt adds less. Check your own count on a dungeon’s page under Weekly Cumulative Play Reward. Unverified
Setting up alts for it
- Make them on your main’s server. Server Storage is how their Kina reaches your main. Unverified
- Get each alt to 1,400 gear score first. Conquest 2★ pays 300,000 a claim against 200,000 at 1★. Until then, save its Odyle. Client data
- Unlock its Expeditions early (the Expedition quest around level 22), so its Odyle starts filling while you level it. Unverified
- Bound Kina helps too: put a piece of your main’s gear in Server Storage and enhance it on the alt with the alt’s bound Kina. Unverified
- Do Daily Duties on your main (reportedly 5 a day for the whole server), and claim every cube before you leave: unclaimed ones reportedly use up a weekly allowance shared by your server. Unverified
Payouts, gear scores and Silentium: the game client via aion2.app’s dungeon pages ↗. Morph limits and the Odyle cap: checked in game (10 Oct 2026). Everything marked Unverified comes from player reports; tell us if your game shows different.
Where Kinah comes from
- Dailies and weeklies first — the steadiest income, every reset.
- Gather while you travel — free money for zero extra time.
- Extract, don't vendor — refunds Enhancement Stones.
- Craft what gets consumed — potions/scrolls hold steady demand.
- Match dungeon difficulty to your gear — don't over- or under-tackle.
Cash shop & Membership
| Currency | What it is |
|---|---|
| Kina | Earned — leveling, dungeons, the Market. |
| Quna | Premium, real-money — cosmetics, premium Daeva Pass. |
Founder's Pack tiers ($24.99/$49.99/$99.99) all give the same 5-day head start and 30 days of Membership (applied retroactively) — only cosmetics scale with price.
Market and drops on Global (playtest notes)
- Server market from day one; the cross-server market opens later.
- A trust system (like Lost Ark's) gates the market; the open world has a 1M Kinah daily cap.
- Wings: one fragment plus 10 Radiant Odyle instead of 50 fragments. The fragment can be sold or extracted for 10,000 Enhancement Stones; the finished wing cannot be sold.
Observed in the September EU playtest (stream), not promised by NCSOFT and subject to change. Source: Kodex ↗.
Guilds are Legions — faction-locked, worth joining early
How Legions work
- Faction-locked — all-Asmodian or all-Elyos, never mixed.
- No shared guild bank; value is organization and scheduling, not stored loot.
- Ranks customizable, Legion Master down to Recruit.
- Build your group early. Sanctuary raids use 10 players, but Ludra is temporarily unavailable on Global while NCSOFT reworks it.
Group content sizes
| Activity | Type | Size | Cadence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expeditions | PvE | 5 | Daily/weekly |
| Transcendence | PvE | 5 | Per cycle |
| Sanctuary (raid): Abyssal Forge: Ludra | PvE | 10 | Unavailable on GlobalWeekly lockout (KR/TW) |
| The Abyss | PvPvE | Open world | Anytime |
| Arenas | PvP | Team | Anytime |
NCSOFT removed Ludra from the Global launch build; its return date will be announced by October 16. That is an announcement deadline, not a confirmed reopening date. Official notice ↗
Not optional — but not urgent either
Gathering (Essence Extraction)
Gathering a node shows a small window with two bars, each labelled with words: Success on top, Fail underneath (seen in game, Oct 1). Up to 3 harvests per node, quality Common→Unique. Novice tier usable immediately; Professional unlocks via a Verdderon Village quest. Reset for 50,000 Kinah.
The professions
Global has five crafting professions: Blacksmithing, Armorsmithing, Handicrafting, Alchemy and Cooking, plus a separate Transfer Crafting window. Blacksmithing makes greatswords, longswords, daggers, maces and guards (and its own materials, starting with Orichalcum Ingots). Expert weapons open at Blacksmithing level 15. Handicrafting makes bows, staffs, necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets (Asvata Bow and Staff at level 3, Sapphire Ring at 3, Diamond Earrings at 5, Ruby Necklace at 10). Craft somewhere safe: if you are hit while crafting, it fails and the materials are still used up (the game’s warning). Confirmed
From the in-game Crafting window, Oct 1.
If you only pick one: pair Ore gathering with the weapon/armor profession. For low-effort Kinah: a consumables profession sells reliably regardless of patch cycle.

Oct 5, 2026Update on Sanctuary Raid
Global · NCSOFT
Hello, Daevas!
As we prepare for the full launch of AION 2, we’ve been closely reviewing everything we learned during Early Access, including how Daevas approached and progressed through Sanctuary Raid: Ludra.
What we saw gave us an opportunity to do something exciting for Global launch.
During Early Access, Ludra was defeated at a lower level of overall progression than we originally intended. At the same time, we were incredibly impressed by the Daevas who spent the time learning the encounter, refining their strategies, and mastering its mechanics. Clearing Ludra under those conditions was a genuine achievement, and we want to recognize everyone who accomplished it. Every Daeva who cleared Ludra in the Europe region during Early Access will receive a unique title commemorating their achievement.
But watching players master the encounter also made us reconsider simply releasing the same Ludra experience again at launch. We want Sanctuary Raids to create memorable moments: discovering mechanics together, developing new strategies, competing for the first clears, and celebrating when someone finally overcomes the challenge. For Global players, we believe Ludra should have that same sense of discovery.
Because of this, Sanctuary Raid: Ludra will be temporarily removed with the full launch build while we prepare an updated version of the encounter.
When Ludra returns, the core identity of the raid will remain familiar, but Global players can expect new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns unique to this version of the fight. Players who challenged Ludra during Early Access will have valuable experience, but everyone will have something new to discover and master.
To make Ludra’s return an event worthy of that challenge, we’ll also hold a new First Clear event, with a unique first clear reward and recognition through AION 2’s in-game Hall of Fame that will be reset for the release.
Alongside the temporary removal of the raid, Ludra-specific gear obtained during Early Access will also be temporarily removed. When Sanctuary Raid: Ludra returns, those items will be granted back to the Daevas who earned them. Any materials previously spent upgrading those items will also be reimbursed. We want to make sure the accomplishments of Early Access players are preserved while giving everyone a fair and exciting starting point when the updated encounter arrives.
We will share Ludra’s new release date by October 16, along with more information about its return and the upcoming First Clear event.
Early Access gave us the chance to see just how quickly Daevas can adapt, strategize, and overcome the challenges we put in front of them. Rather than simply resetting the starting line for launch, we saw an opportunity to raise the curtain on something new.
We’re excited for Global Daevas to experience Ludra together, discover what has changed, and begin a brand-new race for the first clear.
We’ll see you in Atreia!
